EVOC and UCCOAR are waging a war on wastefulness. Ideas boxes were distributed and representatives were named at each site. After a month, all the ideas were gathered together then studied by committee. More than 100 ideas were proposed and five people were rewarded during a barbeque (presentation of a book by Yann Arthus Bertrand and a gift cheque).

96 vineyards have already opted to carry out a sustainability diagnosis accompanied by a plan of action in order to reduce their environmental impact. The standard used was established by the GROWERS IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT collective. The evaluation tool, GINKO, was developed by Guenaël Le Merrer, of COOPDEFRANCE RHONE-ALPES. The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) provided the financial support for this operation.
GINKO was designed to facilitate wine technicians in their work advising wine growers. By limiting the diagnosis time and optimizing the number of visits required to the vineyards, they are able to spend more time drawing up action plans. Developed in ACCESS®, GINKO is completely modifiable and adaptable to the production specifications of each wine grower.
